but not before i ate all those rice krispies on saturday! |
so! for now, the plan is to meal plan and grocery shop on sundays so that we don't feel tempted to just order pizza every night (which happened a LOT during october...can i blame that on halloween, too?!) during the week. we're aiming to hit 3 servings of fruit and 5 servings of veggies every day, which hopefully won't be too hard. i'm just super uncreative when it comes to working veggies in to my day.
i'm also attempting to limit the amount of desserts i'm having this month. really, the only sugary thing i'm having (besides fruit) is a luna bar after working out. i know these have a lot of sugar, but they work well for me after running, and i don't want to mess with that right now. but besides that, no daily sweets!
what's your favorite way to eat veggies?

SMOOTHIES! Fruits, veggies, and dessert all at the same time! It's pretty much the ONLY way I'll eat most veggies (I know that's horrible, but it is what it is), and I have a few combos that are even *better* than some of my favorite desserts!
ReplyDeleteyes! smoothies are the best! i feel like i can through spinach in any smoothie and it doesn't affect the taste at all, but enhances the nutrition factor.
DeleteI love the idea of using the month of November to get back to the good foodies. I'm sort of doing the same, basically in a candy remorse fit.:P
ReplyDeleteI love eating salads, or simply adding a side of veggies (broc, Cali mix, etc.) as a side.
i'm glad i'm not alone! i was reallly good about adding veggies as sides a few months ago, but now it just doesn't sound yummy to me. :( i might just have to suck it up though.
