happy november, everyone! how crazy is it that we're already heading toward the christmas season!? i'd be lying if i said i wasn't sad when i put my halloween decorations away yesterday, but it's probably good that my "excuse" to binge on candy and sweets is gone.
but not before i ate all those rice krispies on saturday!
my boyfriend and i both have agreed to use november as a month to refocus on what we're eating. i'm running four times a week building up to my 5k at the end of the month, so i'm not worried about my fitness. but i definitely feel sluggish from all of the sugar last month and don't want to keep feeling this way.
so! for now, the plan is to meal plan and grocery shop on sundays so that we don't feel tempted to just order pizza every night (which happened a LOT during october...can i blame that on halloween, too?!) during the week. we're aiming to hit 3 servings of fruit and 5 servings of veggies every day, which hopefully won't be too hard. i'm just super uncreative when it comes to working veggies in to my day.
i'm also attempting to limit the amount of desserts i'm having this month. really, the only sugary thing i'm having (besides fruit) is a luna bar after working out. i know these have a lot of sugar, but they work well for me after running, and i don't want to mess with that right now. but besides that, no daily sweets!
